Rejection Block Session Mapper

Plots body-based rejection block high and low levels by session — AM, lunch and PM kept apart — from regular-session candles, and retires a level once price takes it.

What it draws

  • At each session's close: that session's rejection block high and low, taken from the highest and lowest BODY of the source timeframe's candles (R-7.10 / R-7.11), drawn solid and labelled 'AM RBH', 'PM RBL' and so on.
  • The session's absolute wick extremes as well, dotted (R-7.12) — both are marked deliberately, because a candle can open above one and close below the other.
  • A level struck through and greyed once it has been consumed (R-7.19 / R-7.20).

What it needs to be correct

Chart, symbol and session. A tool that is right on one chart and wrong on another, silently, is the thing this table exists to prevent.

Chart timeframe
Any at or below the source timeframe. Session windows are evaluated on the chart's own timeframe, so a 30-minute chart cannot resolve a 09:30 session open precisely — 1 to 5 minutes is the sensible range.
Symbol
NQ / MNQ, or any symbol with a New York regular session.
Session
Levels are read from a REGULAR-SESSION ticker by default, so an extended-hours chart and an RTH chart draw the same levels. Turning that off reads whatever the chart is showing, which is not what the method means.
Repaint
Nothing is drawn or alerted from a candle that is still forming. Every reading below is decided at a close. A rejection block solidifies only when its source candle closes (R-7.13), and a session's levels are only drawn once the session ends.

Inputs

Where the One42 framework records a question as unresolved, the tool exposes an input instead of choosing quietly. The note says which number is James's and which is yours.

Rejection block timeframe

30 minutes

C-3, unresolved: the July 2026 tape says the 30-minute is the bellwether, the Foundation era used the 15. Set what James confirms.

AM / Lunch / PM / Pre-market windows

0930-1159 · 1200-1329 · 1330-1615 · 0500-0900

R-7.1. PM is an input because the rulebook still records 4:14 vs 4:15 p.m. as unsettled. 1330-1615 counts the candle opening at 16:14 as the last.

Read levels from regular-session data only

On

The method's source of truth is the New York regular session.

New York trading days of history to keep

1

R-7.18: levels roll forward. Counted in trading days, so the setting means the same thing on every chart timeframe.

Retire a level once it is taken

On

R-7.19 / R-7.23: bodies count first.

What invalidates a reading

The conditions under which the tool says nothing, or takes a level away. Knowing these is most of knowing how to read it.

  • A rejection block is consumed by a CLOSE through it, not a wick (R-7.23). An absolute extreme is consumed by a wick through it — that is what makes them two different levels worth drawing.
  • A level older than the retention setting is deleted, not hidden. What is on the chart is what is live.
  • Levels never cross a session: AM liquidity is AM's, and the session that made a level is in its name.

What each alert means

AM session closed
The AM rejection blocks are solidified and drawn. Same for lunch and PM.

A PM rejection block high

One worked example, start to finish.

  1. 1From 13:30 the mapper tracks the highest body and lowest body of each closed 30-minute candle, and separately the session's highest wick and lowest wick.
  2. 2At 16:15 the PM session ends. Four levels are drawn: PM RBH and PM RBL solid, PM high and PM low dotted.
  3. 3They roll into the next day (R-7.18).
  4. 4At 10:40 the following morning a 1-minute candle CLOSES above PM RBH. That level is retired — struck through and greyed — because the liquidity there is spent (R-7.20). A wick through it the hour before would not have retired it.

What this tool does not decide for you

Stated rather than left to be discovered, because a filter you thought was included and is not is the most expensive kind of surprise.

  • The source timeframe (C-3) is genuinely unresolved between 30 and 15 minutes. The default is 30 because that is the current tape, not because the question is closed.
  • The PM close minute is an input for the same reason. Nothing here picks a side of a rule James has not settled.

This is an analysis tool, not a signal service and not advice. Nothing here implies an outcome, and trading futures involves substantial risk of loss — read the full risk disclosure.
